Small Business Saturday in Buckingham 2023

Join us on Small Business Saturday this year (Saturday 2nd December) to celebrate shopping local and support our small independent shops. Take a trip into Buckingham town centre to soak up the festive atmosphere and enjoy a special shopping experience. For every purchase you make at one of the participating shops from 2nd December until 17th December 2023, you could win £50 to spend this Christmas!

Pick up a Buckingham Shoppers Festive Passport from the Tourist Information Centre and enter a prize draw to win £50 to spend in one of the participating shops. Make sure to collect your sticker or stamp when you make a purchase; the more you collect, the more chances you have of winning!

To encourage residents into town and explore Buckingham’s streets and shops, there will be free face painting at the Chantry Chapel between 10am and 1pm, a free Elf Hunt around the Street Market with treats from 10am until 4pm, meet our bubbleologist elf outside the Old Gaol Museum from 10am to 1pm and musical entertainment outside the Town Council Chamber from 10.30am onwards to create a welcoming and joyful atmosphere as you venture into town.

Acts include a community percussion drumming group (Accent Percussion) that will perform from 10.30am until 11.30 am and invite people to participate and have a go at drumming. At midday, young people from the Adele Peters School of Performing Arts will showcase their festive choir, and at 1pm young people from the Buckingham Pauline Quirke Academy family will be performing. Then, from 2.30pm onwards, the Launton Handbell Choir will make an appearance to perform a recital or two.

Elf Hunt - To collect your treats for completing the Elf Hunt around the Street Market, pop into the Tourist Information Centre and let us know how many Elves you find.

Prize Draw - One passport entry per household will be entered into a prize draw for a chance to win £50 in vouchers to spend in one or two of the participating shops listed. The draw will take place on Monday 18th December, and the winner will be notified on that day. List of participating shops:
